YOU ARE THE WAY
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).
Many people say God will make a way where there seems to be no way. It’s a wonderful encouragement. But such expressions aren’t scripturally correct, especially when you understand who Christ has made you to be. In the New Testament, God isn’t “making a way” for you; rather, He’s made you the way.
The Lord Jesus said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6). He was our way to God and the blessings of the Kingdom: deliverance, divine health, and every blessing that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ consummated for us. He brought us to the Father in our salvation. Now that we’re in Him, we are, to every sinner, the way to God.
That’s why when you study the book of Acts, you’ll see that the church is called “The Way.” We have become the way. Why would you be looking for the way when you’re the way? Moreover, the Lord Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).
As He is, so are you in this world. Inside us is the way out of trouble, and the way that lights up the darkness. We never walk in darkness or confusion; we never find ourselves out of the way. If you don’t know what to do, pray in the Holy Ghost and your eyes will be opened, and you will be led. The Bible says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”(Romans 8:14). So, don’t quote Old Testament blessings without understanding them through the light of the New Testament. The New has replaced the Old (Hebrews 8:13). Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for bringing me into oneness with Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I live in the light of your Word and walk in the wisdom of the Spirit. I am never lost, never confused, and never disadvantaged, for Christ is in me, and I am alive in Him. Glory to God!
If you’re blessed by this devotional, believing every word you heard by faith in your heart, and would love to make Jesus the lord of your life, then speak the confessions below out loud, and mean them with your heart:
“O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m born again. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Hallelujah!”
